I'm starting to think this software is a complete waste of time. I'm trying to reinstall but it's not accepting my root password. I've completely wiped the directory and copied over installation files but it still does not accept my root password, how do I reset this?

What is your web-server configuration & In-Portal version you're using?

If you already have In-Portal installation before trying to reinstall, then what was the version, e.g. if you had In-Portal 1.1.3 before and you try to reinstall 5.1.3 version over it, then it might not work this way.
