Definitely,

Our goal is always to improve, not to make things worse, right! The next big step in search will be combining the search of categories and links!

Actually, search will also be systemwide for things like topics on the forum, for example....

Please no on that option or atleast let us have a way to pick what the search is on.

Yes, you will be able to do that by selecting advaced search. Also, you will be able to view the search results within each module.
